COURSE DESCRIPTION
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a mindfulness-based therapy created by Dr. Marsha Linehan as a method of treating Borderline Personality Disorder. Although it was originally created for this purpose, DBT has also been used to successfully treat a wide variety of disorders.
In this course we will discuss the four skill sets of DBT and how to use them in a clinical setting. We will also review how to access for suicide risk and create a suicide prevention plan.
